Directions for bringing a Project Pinocchio file into 3ds Max 2013

Here is a simple process to bring your characters into 3ds Max on a Biped.

1)Publish your character and make sure to select Biped as the Skeleton (bottom left option of Publish Character dialog).

2)Download your character zip file and extract the content.

3)Download the 3dsMaxBipedTemplates.zip attached to this post and extract the content.
Note: We presently have an issue with the character naming in the templates that you will get in your character package. This is why you will need to use one of the two template files in this attachment, Man or Woman depending on what you produced.

4)For a male character, load the ManBipedTemplate.max from the attachment and import the .fbx file from your character package. Use default M&E present for the FBX options.

Thats it. You should now get your character in 3ds Max on a functional Biped structure.

Hope this helps.
